Seatrail SA - Why Seatrail Trailers?

Seatrail Trailers was established in 2005 and over the years has produced and sold tens of thousands of boat trailers, not only in Australia but also in country's such New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Tahiti, Soloman Islands as well as Papua New Guinea.

Over that time, we have continued to refine our product to the point where we believe we can offer our customers Australia's best value for money boat trailers.

Here are some of the reasons that make Seatrail Trailers Australia's best value for money boat trailers.

Nationwide Warranty

A product is only as good as its back up warranty and service. At Seatrail Trailers we offer a full Nationwide Warranty with distributors in every state as well as places like Kiama in Southern NSW and Cairns in FNQ.

We offer a full 2 year warranty on all fabricated components and 12 Months on galvanising for red rust and 3 years on AL-KO brake products.

Welded in Walkways

All galvanised steel and C-Channel braked models come standard with a welded in walkway made with welded mesh, that is not only non-slip but it also drains easily unlike checkerplate, which is very slippery and dangerous when wet.

Superior Skids

At Seatrail Trailers we use extra-long galvanised steel skids with teflon strips to better support a boats hull than shorter solid teflon skids which tend to sag away from the boat between the posts and you are left supporting the boat only were the uprights are.

Mandrel Tube Bending

All tubing on Seatrail Trailers including frames and crossmembers, are bent using a technique called Mandrel Bending.

This means the tube has a mandrel plug inserted into the tube to support the material during the bending process which gives the tube extra support to reduce wrinkling and loss of strength in the material that also results in the material maintaining a constant shape throughout the bend.

Maintaining the shape in the material is very important especially in crossmembers so that there is no crease in the top of the crossmember for salt water to pool and create rust problems.

High Tensile Bolts

For our centre roller adjustment bolts we go against the grain.

The industry standard is usually an un rated ½ inch whitworth bolt which has a course thread which can't be tightened very tight due to the course thread.

We use dacromat coated 8.8 High Tensile rated 12x1.25 Metric Bolts which have a fine thread which aids in tension that can be achieved. And because we use 8.8 high tensile bolts, even years later, they can be loosened so parts can be re-adjusted without the fear of breaking bolts.
Al-Ko IQ7 Brakes.

All Seatrail Trailers with electric/hydraulic brakes rated over 2 Ton ATM come standard with the most advanced power assisted braking system on the market today the AL-KO IQ7 which includes in built breakaway technology so no need for a breakaway battery or switch.

The AL-KO IQ7 has been designed and manufactured in Australia for Australian conditions and backed by AL-KO's global expertise in towing safety.

Light Wiring

We have been using Plug and Play wiring harness for over 7 years and they work that well that they are now the industry standard. All plugs are compliance tested for use in saltwater. And if you happen damage a tail light or clearance light it's a quick change over not a major rewire.

Centre Roller Posts

The industry standard is to us 19mm solid posts for centre roller brackets but at Seatrail Trailers we use 30x30x3mm Tubing and reason behind the use of tube instead of solid square is solid square bar tends to vibrate down over time as you are relying on the friction between the post and the end of the bolt which doesn't have a lot of surface area.

With hollow tube when you tighten the bolt against the tube the bolt dents the tube which creates a much stronger clamping force and makes it nearly impossible for it to move.
